Finland Welcomes Preliminary US-Iran Peace Deal, Calls for Lasting Solution

Finland’s political leadership has welcomed the preliminary peace agreement reached between the United States and Iran, expressing hope that the breakthrough could pave the way for a more stable and lasting resolution to longstanding tensions in the region.

Speaking on the development, Elina Valtonen said Finland views the agreement as a positive step toward reducing conflict and promoting diplomatic engagement. She noted that all parties involved have a shared interest in finding a sustainable and permanent solution.

“We believe that all parties have an interest in finding some kind of permanent solution,” Valtonen said, emphasizing the importance of continued dialogue and negotiations.

Meanwhile, Alexander Stubb also welcomed the preliminary deal, highlighting the value of diplomacy in addressing international disputes and strengthening regional security.

The agreement comes after months of diplomatic efforts aimed at easing tensions between Washington and Tehran. While details of the arrangement have not yet been fully disclosed, international leaders have largely viewed the development as an encouraging sign that further negotiations may be possible.

Finland has consistently supported diplomatic initiatives and multilateral cooperation in international conflicts. Finnish officials stressed that maintaining momentum in the talks will be crucial to achieving a comprehensive and durable peace agreement.

Analysts say the preliminary deal could help lower tensions in the Middle East, although significant challenges remain before a final and binding agreement can be reached.

As negotiations continue, Finland has reiterated its support for peaceful dialogue and efforts that contribute to regional stability and global security.
