TRUMP IS NOT HAPPY ABOUT GOOGLE’S €13 BN INVESTMENT IN FINLAND

US President Donald Trump has criticised Google’s plans to invest €13 billion in Finland, saying the company is choosing Finland because of difficulties with permits and regulations in the United States.Trump made the comments on his social media platform, saying he wants Google to reconsider its decision.

Google recently announced plans to invest €13 billion in Finnish data centres and other operations over the next two years. The investment is expected to bring economic activity and new jobs to Finland.

However, some experts have also raised concerns about the long-term number of jobs and the environmental impact of large data centres.

University of Helsinki technology professor Jussi Kangasharju said Trump's comments are unlikely to affect the project, noting that the plans have been prepared for several years.

Prime Minister Petteri Orpo also said he does not expect Google to withdraw from its investment. He pointed to Google's existing commitments and contracts.
